“ I stopped at Fanny Mae and the store person said City Barbeque was very good. So I stopped. I was unfamiliar with the menu and a lady behind the counter told another employee to give me a sample. It was so good. I ordered the party pack. Oh my when I got home my adult son said it was really good. We had chicken and brisket. The only negative was I ordered a pint of Cole slaw and didn't realize how pricey it was at 8.99. If I saw this ahead of time I would not have purchased it. The beef was extra but I was good with that since my son does not eat pork. I will definitely stop again if I am in that area. I live 50 miles away. ”

“ When I arrived, it smelled so good. Very good food. Good portion size. It's not cheap, but the quality is there. I got the pulled pork sandwich with macaroni & cheese and green beans. The meat comes without the barbeque sauce. You choose your sauce & put in a cup. (Personally I like my meat *cooked* in the sauce.) It was a big plus that they have flavored vitamin water, which was very good. I saw a sign that they have a rib bone special on Tuesdays. ”
“ The food here is so freaking good. I've never had food from here that didn't taste good. Their pulled pork and brisket are my favorites, yet you also can't go wrong with their turkey, sausage, and their bone-in chicken (all delicious). For their sides, i absolutely love their hush puppys, corn pudding, texas toast, corn bread, baked beans, Mac-n-cheese, and their fries. I always get the sampler platters, which are great for families. And you have to finish it off with their triple chocolate cake. It is to die for it's so good!! ”

“ Nice staff, great service, good atmosphere. Avons location is superior to others. I smoke meat myself and their brisket is winning the race among the other locations in the Indy area. Anyone can make pulled pork, the crew here knows what they are doing and they all need a raise. That peach cobbler deserves a scoop of ice cream though ”
